Live it up in Singapore, literally!
Swissôtel The Stamford, Singapore is the the tallest hotel in Singapore and also South East Asia. This is the night view (obviously!) of it right across the road where the "Padang" is.
I just had dinner at a Italian restaurant there called Prego. It's on the ground floor of this tall building. Food's good! The highest floor is also a nice place, a romantic place to have dinner. It's called Equinox.
to have a dinner at the top floor must be an experience.
ReplyDeletegoing down to the ground floor to Prego would be acceptable too ‘coz italian food is so tasty...
yeah, i love Prego too!
ReplyDeleteSeeing this photo is an experience. Wonderful night shot!
ReplyDeleteje ne connais pas Pegro, mais cette photo est magnifique, une vraie carte postale. bravo c'est WONDERFUL.
ReplyDeleteI do not know Pegro, but this photograph is splendid, a true postcard. cheer it is WONDERFUL.
That hotel really is monumental. I'd imagine that the view from the top is breathtaking.
ReplyDeleteStayed there once on 55th floor, fantastic view of the financial district.
ReplyDeletejazzy, victoria: yeah, the top floor has fab view. was there a sponsored event which had the food portion up there :-)
ReplyDeleteedwin: then come visit Singapore more often. :p Yup, got your postcard, it took 8 days to arrive.
kate: Thanks. Swissotel is a nice hotel too.
olivier: You want me to post this as a postcard to you, like what Edwin did. haha...
koeiru: the last time I was there, it was a bit hazy. haha...

ReplyDeleteI love this night shot. What an amazing tower. Reminds me of the Marina Towers in Chicago. I remember when they were built, and it was a big deal because you could live your whole life there, even die, without leaving the building. There were stores, restaurants, funeral parlor, etc. :)
ReplyDeleteI like the bar at 72th floor of Swissotel The Stamford, New Asia Bar.
ReplyDeleteBoy, times changes quickly. We stayed there for a month (Nov '00) while waiting for our house to be ready...then it was part of the Westin hotels and the restaurant was call the Rose something, can't remember. Glad to see Prego is still the same. Had my 32nd birthday there.
ReplyDeleteStayed at the hotel in 2006 was amazing was on the 74th floor was amazed that it has an open balcony that high up.
