Today is the 1st of December, and it is Theme Day for the worldwide City Daily Photo bloggers again! This month's theme is Bridges.
What bridge am I showing? A brand new aerobridge at Singapore's Changi Airport Terminal 3. This new terminal will officially open on 9 January 2008.
The ones above I think are not the ones for the A380 planes. It only has 2 arms.
I have photo of the 3 arms aerobridges, but they are not very clearly taken.
I wonder if Sally from Sydney DP will be flying over to Singapore to escape the summer heat? haha.. Currently the airline that flies the A380 is Singapore Airlines and the route from Singapore to Sydney is the only route with the new Airbus A380 planes.
When was your last flight and which airline did you fly with?
My fellow Daily Photo Bloggers around the world are also participating in the Theme Day. See how the theme is being interpreted in different cities.
Due to different time-zones, some photos might appear at a later time.

That airport is always one step ahead! I've had to use KL/Maylaysian yet never get to see KL- yet
ReplyDeleteGreat interpretation! I was expecting...well...a regular bridge and you gave me a very nice surprise!
ReplyDeleteInteresting and surprising, as Ann said.
ReplyDeleteI love the way we interpret the definition of bridges! Very interesting and creative!
ReplyDeletewhat a great picture! Very interesting "bridge"!
ReplyDeleteNow that's different - great idea!
ReplyDeleteSeeing as you asked, my last flight was from Nice to Frankfurt in October - to judge a dog show - I flew on Lufthansa, I think.
I remember Changi from our stopover en route to NZ - our last flight was coming back from Crete last year - Hyde DP is carrying permalinks to the bridge posts and will be updated at intervals until Dec 2nd.
ReplyDeleteAn interesting choice for the theme.
ReplyDeleteHappy theme day Phillip!
Great photos and idea! I think you get the award for "most original" on this theme day!
ReplyDeleteGood choice, but I have to say I hate the way we are hermetically sealed from airport to airport - I like walking out on the tarmac, it makes me deel I've arrived somewhere
ReplyDeleteGood one!
ReplyDeleteAh, good interpretation of this theme! Do you I live 50 km from Saint Nazaire where several parts of A380 are built? I've visited the site of making, quite impressive!
ReplyDeleteAnd thank you for visiting my DP blog.
I would haven't thought to do a photo like this for a bridge. Interesting.
ReplyDeleteCreative interpretation. I never would have thought of an aerobridge!
ReplyDeleteAnother great interpretation of the theme. I enjoy surfing our community and seeing how creative the interpolations are ... My last flight was on Continental Airlines from Amarillo, Texas though Houston to Greenville, South Carolina. That flight, like most of my flights for the past many years, was on a "regional jet" which accommodates roughly 30-50 passengers and does not use a aerobridge. A big difference from the A380.
ReplyDeleteVery creative!

Last time I flew was in October - Norwich to Warsaw. Sadly, it was with KLM. I miss Singapore Airlines. For me it's one of the top 3 airlines in the world.

Good to see a different take for the theme. ;)
ReplyDeleteAn aerobridge, what a good choice. Yours is the first aerobridge I've seen for theme day.
ReplyDeleteHello you poke-aholic, you. ;-) Changi Airport is fantastic - we spent about 8 hours shopping there on our way back from Sydney a few years ago. I was able to walk around barefoot (my feet were killing me), because of all that lovely carpeting! And the skytrain was awesome - could have ridden on it for hours.
ReplyDeleteYour airport is really going ahead.
ReplyDeleteGreat photo...but I'm still looking for a bridge ;-)))
ReplyDeleteLast time I flew it was Air France - lots of free wine and they were crazy about my dog! Well, you know, the French...
Air bridges certainly changed clambering into and out of planes!
ReplyDeleteThanks for visiting me in hospital! I feel better already :-)
i don't think that many airports are ready for the a380 . anyway , in the near future , they will deliever to asia and middle east . singapore is very ambitious and very competitive and it's easy to see it .
ReplyDeletemy last flight was singapore-london-bucharest with ba
I like your bridges, Keropak Man. You are showing us bridges that we all are glad to use when we fly in or out. For me, it's been years since I've flown anywhere - and maybe it will be years more before I do again. I don't much like to fly.
ReplyDeleteInteresting twist on the bridges theme!
ReplyDeleteAn aerobridge? Now, that's original!
ReplyDeletea creative idea for this theme:)
ReplyDeletecongratulation!
I like your bridge interpretation, very creative!
ReplyDeleteMy last flight was September of 2006, on Northwest Airlines and KLM to Roma, Italy. Hope to be in Paris, France sometime in 2008.
Great theme day photo.
