Talking about Shopping, some say the 8 week long Great Singapore Sale causes a fatigue effect. Do you think so?

Orchard Rd (Singapore itself, actually) in the late 70s/early 80s was great. Satay retaurants under trees where now you'll find office blocks, the car park restaurants. Shame it go so sanitised
