Singapore Post has a contest that lets people paint the local post boxes. It's a post box makeover.
I happen to catch these girls in action a few weeks ago, when they were suppose to be paiting them during their allocated timing.
What a coincidence with the Daily Photo Theme Day!
Guess what, the voting for your favourite post box starts tomorrow! If you are interested to see more of the quirky post box in Singapore, visit http://www.stamp.sg/
If you have enough of Singapore public Mail Box, visit others around the world!
The following Daily Photo sites are also participating in the 1st April Theme Day.
Due to time zone differences and other factors, the theme photo may not be displayed until later if you are viewing early in the day.

ReplyDeleteFun! Only in S'pore! Gives the kids something productive to do.
ReplyDeletewhat a lovely project
ReplyDeletethe idea to paint them is fun and pretty to look at. mail boces are yellow in Finland.. Kate, make a visit to Vantaa DP ;-)
ReplyDeleteit's a tradition of mine now to come to your DP first when it's a theme day and you surprised me nicely with this lovely post box, very creative, i love it.
ReplyDeleteWhat a coincidence, what a surprising project. 5 stars.
ReplyDeleteFantastic coincidence! So much so that I thought you might have made it up as an April Fool joke with a little help from our friend Photoshop !
ReplyDeleteFANTASTIC ENTRY!
Too cool. This was very convent for the theme day. The world gets to see your photo and Singapore has bright new mailboxes. Much better then Red or Blue.
ReplyDeleteZannnie showed me before these smiley mail boxes and now you show me how they decorate them. very nice idea:)
ReplyDeleteGood one Keropok man!
ReplyDeleteCheers!
great project. Funny mailbox around singapore
ReplyDeleteHmmmm....I think our boxes should meet. They both are lots of fun.
ReplyDeleteSuperb! Gets my vote.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great idea! Maybe I should suggest it to our Post Office officials...
ReplyDeleteGreat idea, i think it could be a good idea in France where all public mailboxes are yellow and boring! Bon dimanche!
ReplyDeleteI love that!
ReplyDeleteI hope someday we can make it in Madrid! let's give a note of colour to our cities!
What an excellent idea and way to be so original on theme day. I hope you told the people painting to look for themselves on your blog. They will be very proud I am sure.
ReplyDeleteHow fantastic is that! I love some of the designs. Do they wash it off later, or do the designs stay until next year?
ReplyDeleteWOW!
ReplyDeleteLove the idea, love the art work on the box!
WOW!
You are so lucky. This is one of a kind shot.
ReplyDeletevery creative design!I like it!I wonder why they don't have those type of stuff here in Malaysia.
ReplyDeleteThat's a wonderful idea, and every post box will be different!
ReplyDeleteFun shot. I need to get back into theme days now that things are settling down a bit!
