Titoudao - Cut Hair Knife

Ey, want to watch Hokkien Opera or not? Even if you no much much unlerstand hokkien, nell mind one. They ol got the big big screen there that show subtitles one.

The show is half half one lah. It's mostly in English or rather Singlish (like the above paragraph and this. haha). They intro stuff in Engrish, then hor, they start speaking bits of hokkien and 'chiu kwa' in hokkien too. Sitting down there in ler audience, also got ang moh lang leh. They also unlerstand I think, know why? coz see them laughing also mah. Actually hor, its damn funny. But then, also got many parts very the touching also.

But there are some 'cheem-ness' in the hokkien spoken. Even me, a hokkien can't help peeping at the subtitles.

Titoudao literally translated means Shaving Knife. But it's just a name of a male servant in the show. haha...
