Do Not Feed The Monkeys
You see this sign at the way to Nature Reserve. Why? Because the monkey is naughty!
When I was taking his picture, the park ranger was shouting at the monkey, I guess the monkey was up to no good.
This picture is put here on request from Natalie from Sydney DP. She is one of the two DPs in Sydney.

HSBC Tree Top Walk
Cousin was here from UK and last Sat, we went to the HSBC Tree Top Walk.
Yes, tourist to Singapore who loves nature can enjoy lots of the nature spots in Singapore. It was a great morning of work out walking.
This is around the middle of the free standing suspension bridge. The length of the bridge is about 250m and the higest point to the forest floor is at 27 metres.

The in-thing collectors cards for kids: High School Musical
Have you heard of High School Musical by Disney? If not, you either do not interact with children or maybe you are too out of touch with kids. :-p
High School Musical is a very popular Disney series on television with children from even ages 4 to 5! They will be able to sing you the songs in the 'musical'.
It is actually quite interesting, I sat down watching it with little nieces. So, what are kids collecting now? Colletors cards from High School Musical.
The packs look like this. Inside them they contain cards. (tomorrow's post will show you the cards).
Do you collect cards like these when you were young? I think I did have them too!
Those outdated can find out more about HSM here: disneychannel.com/highschoolmusical

Computer Science is Totally Happening!
Do you it is true? Saw this big huge sign few days ago. Just happen that we saw the other side and we saw lots of words, graphs, algorithms etc, then I said. eeee so boring.
Then we walk one around, and saw this sign. We laughed out so loud. The sign is speaking to us!
But really, do you think Computer Science is happening? I think it is! Else who would have invented blogging software for all of us! (and the PCs / Macs, etc ...... )

High Rise all belongs to banks?
This is a picture of the Singapore CBD skyline. Come to think of it, it seems that the taller buildings, most of them belongs to banks.
I can spot Maybank, Bank of China, Standard Chartered, United Overseas Bank, JP Morgan, OCBC Bank. Can anyone spot more? I am not really a CBD person. :-P
The low rise in front, the green field is called "The Padang". The cricket club is just beside it. The cluster of white buildling with a click tower, that's Victoria Concert Hall and the Asian Civilisation Musuem. On the right, it's the City Hall, where the Biennale 2006 was held.
A river goes between the high rise and low rise. The cluster of low rise near the tallies are Clarke Quay.

A duck that behaves like a bus and a boat.
Duck is usually food right? Or things you see swimming in ponds.
But this duck in Singapore is a gigantic monster that can move on land and sail in the sea too.
The Duck Tour sure is one popular tourist ride. I wish to take it too. haha.. I have not played tourist for some time now. Maybe it's time to play tourist in your own city again :-)

How To Make People Like You in 90 seconds.
So busy today doing so many things, that I forgot to do my posting for today! Here's something I pull out from my archives. It just caught my eye.
It was a picture taken at some courses that I went for at my workplace. Oops, I have already forgotten what course it was. It must be some communications course that I went to. This book is one of the reference book. Nope, I did not read it :-)
Why? Because I am already well loved? hahaha... Maybe I should have read it.

The show is half half one lah. It's mostly in English or rather Singlish (like the above paragraph and this. haha). But there are some 'cheem-ness' in the hokkien spoken. Even me, a hokkien can't help peeping at the subtitles.

Singapore Mail boxes.
For most of Singapore residents, they live in highrise homes called HDB flats. HDB means Housing Development Board.
For HDB flats, mails arrives in mailboxes that looks like this one.
This reminds me of the postcards that I received from a few Daily Photo bloggers around the world. Have received postcards sent from: Edwin - Kuala Lumpur DP, Jing - Shanghai DP, Jazzy - Tuzla DP, Gerald - Hyde DP, Zannnie/Zsolt - Budapest DP.
You want to see some unique Singapore mailboxes for sending mails? Watch out for Theme Day on 1 April.

Celebrating Kuala Lumpur DP's birthday in Singapore.
2 days ago, Ed from KLDP visited Singapore and met up with the 2 Singapore DP - Zannnie and Keropokman.
It was a terrific time of chatting and laughing. We met in the afternoon, keropokman was late! Anyway, it was fun meeting Zannnie for the first time in real person and Edwin for the 2nd time. Great people!
Anyway, here's a little piece of cake to celebrate KLDP's 1st birthday. Too bad the cafe ran out of candles. Nice slice of cake? It has a cute name, "oh oh lala" or something like that...
See those Mozart balls? They are from Vienna, nice little gifts from Zannnie when she visited Europe. (yes, she is still co-author of Budapest DP)
We split up around 5pm. Had dinner with other friends whom we are also meeting then met up again at the Drama Centre. (Well, I pop by IT Show, mentioned in yesterday's post)
We caught a show together at 8 pm. It's called Titoudao. Very interesting show, those in Singapore, quick quick, go catch it. Book your tix at Sistic now.
I think I am the last person to post about the meet. LOL.
Now, go visit Singapore DP by Zannnie and Kuala Lumpur DP after this.

Rubbing Shoulders with Strangers at the IT Show.
Where is almost the whole population of Singapore heading to since Thursday? Everyone has descended on Suntec City, where the annual IT show is held.
It's a crazy sale of IT and Electronic products. Even if you have nothing to buy, joining the crowd is fun for some people.
If you miss it, today's the last day of the show. I bought more memory cards. 1 1.0GB Sandisk micro SD card ($26) and 1 2.0GB Sandisk ultra II MemoryStick Pro Duo ($89). It comes with a card reader, and 1 movie ticket as well! MicroSD is for my o2 Graphite mobile phone, and Memorystick to take more photos. haha...
It spreads 3 floors of Suntec City this year. This is at Level 6.
Also at Level 6, where most of the stuff on this floor are peripherals.
Just look at the people. Taking the escalator down, and glancing down, you already feel congested.
At level 4 where all the printers and cameras are. I am waiting to upgrade my camera, but the model I want is not out in the market yet. Patience....
What are you waiting for? Hurry down!

Oldest Musuem but with the youngest & innovative soul
More Museums! Haha.. If you like visiting musuems and such, try this one as well. The National Museum of Singapore.
You should visit their website and read about her history. Wow. This is really a great old dame. It went through an extensive renovation, and reopened in December last year.
Website: http://www.nationalmuseum.sg/
The quote in the title is as quoted at the website :-)

the DHL Balloon
Another attraction in Singapore is to take the helium balloon ride.
It's located next to Bugis Junction, a popular shopping center in Singapore.
You will be up 150 m in the sky (or around 40 storeys) enjoying a breath-taking 360 degree panoramic view of the city.
I have yet to take the ride, just happen to take a photo of this balloon from afar. The next time I take it, I shall post it here.

Mint Museum Opening
MINT stands for Moment of Imagination and Nostalgia with Toys.
It officially opens today.
It's opened by an electrical engineer who loves his toys. His 30 year old collection is now housed in this 5 story building.
(which one?) it's the wavy glass facade building.
It's at 26 Seah Street.
I have an earlier post as well here.
If you are interested in museums all over Singapore, Singeo has it all mapped out here.

The "Xiong Ti" torture
Have you been part of the 'xiong ti' or brothers gang for the groom?
Well, these were part of the torture tools, so that the groom gets his wife. haha..
Yup, someone in the guys team had to had make up put on, eye brows plucked and nails painted.
This is the evidence. haha...
Well, I could not take the process but the official hired photographer took them, while I was being tortured. LOL.... I am waiting to see those photos!
If you want to know what the groom had to do, he took some concoction that the 'jie mei' (sisters) prepared. It was a mixture of soy sauce, chilli sauce, tomato sauce, pepper, vinegar, and whatever else that I forgot.

The Wedding Day
I assume everyone expects wedding photos today :-)
Here it is. The faces shown in these 2 photos are purposely smaller and not close up, because these people are shy and do not want to be known throughout the world. Even the bride and groom has only side profile. haha...
The empty lawn was transformed into this. Beautiful white chairs and handsome men and pretty ladies all taking a seat under the hot singapore sun.
The beautiful bride and the handsome groom. Charles & Elaine.

The Lawn at Raffles Hotel
One more day before 2 of my good friends get married. See this picture? It's the lawn at Raffles Hotel taken last week when we had a rehearsal for the wedding.
Tomorrow's the day. It will be transformed into a nice lawn wedding by the hotel.
The groom is inside the pavillion. The guy on the left is one of the MC.
The bride on the right side trying to calm the flower girl. The flower girls hiding behind her mummy.
Wishing the bridal couple a Blessed and Happy Wedding!
It also happens to be the groom's birthday! Happy Birthday too!
